ASTM now has standards for ion-exchange cartridges

There have been two standards developed at ASTM committee D19.08 in recent years for analyzing ion-exchange cartridges.

Test method D7513 “Capacity of Mixed Bed Ion Exchange Cartridges” is a procedure to measure the actual throughput for any mixed bed cartridge regardless of its configuration.

Similarly practice D7903 “Determining the Capacity of Oxygen Removal Ion Exchange Cartridges” was also developed to measure the ability for a cartridge, whether wholly or partially filled with oxygen removal resin, to remove dissolved oxygen from water.

New product coming soon from Ionex Technologies, Inc.

Ionex Technologies, Inc. will be bringing to market a new cartridge system that will produce Reagent Grade Type 3 water, and with additional components, Reagent Grade type 1 water. It is an affordable alternative for laboratory quality water with two options for purity meters to meet every budget.
